Corporate sites come in many shapes and sizes. What they all should have in common is the goal of getting one thing across: identity. When you get to a corporate website, you should get a feel for the kind of company with which you are dealing. If you don't, something is wrong.
DSS is a staffing company that is growing rapidly and wanted a website that highlighted it's personal as well as professional abilities. We got started on their website the same way we get started on all websites we design. We were contacted!
Once we were contacted we were given their currrent marketing materials. We spoke to the Director of Marketing and we took it from there.
DSS did not expect the multimedia site they would ultimately receive. The director originally felt that a static website would be fine. However, we felt that the website they currently had was inadequate to express the image they were looking to project.
Also, their current marketing materials were not what we felt a $50,000,000 corporation should be using as the basis for their website. We scheduled a photo shoot to get professional photographs for their executives. We also surprised them by sneaking in a film shoot where we interviewed the executives.
We then took our artistic design and melded it with the best multimedia technologies available today: Flash and Quicktime. This would give them a dynamic site that would express their phenomenal growth while at the same time giving them a professional look and feel.
DSS Staffing also wanted a way to recruit prospective employees online. So we installed a recruiting page so that applicants could apply for positions online.
You really can have the website you deserve. In case you're curious, to your left is how the website DSS had online looked like before Ferreum entered the picture.
It had absolutely no multimedia to speak of except for a Flash ticker that scrolled up along the left side of the page. Diverse Staffing Solutions is a dynamic, growing Staffing Company that employs over three thousand. They wanted a website that reflected that fact.
