When will
Apple's Aperture read
Canon EOS 40D .cr2 raw files? Well, good news, it does!
There's been some confusion online and in stores whether or not with the latest release of Apple's flagship operating system, Mac OS X Leopard, Apeture can actually read and edit the latest cr2 files created by Canon's EOS 40D.
Rest assured that it can.
Be sure to update to the latest version of Aperture and update to
Leopard, Mac OS X 10.5. Not only is it a great update, it allows Aperture to read all of your Canon EOS 40D files, whether in Raw format or Jpeg.
Here's the proof in this screenshot we took today.
The files you see displayed here are indeed Canon EOS 40D raw cr2 files uploaded into Aperature 1.5.6 running Mac OS X Leopard (10.5). 1.5.6 is Aperture's latest update and can easily be updated by choosing Software Update under the top left Apple Menu. That's the drop down menu that falls when you click on the upper left blue Apple logo on your computer screen.
Leopard is not only available online, but in stock, in store, at major retailers like
Best Buy. That is where we picked up our copy. So buy with confidence and enjoy!
Aperture can now definitely read Canon EOS 40D .cr2 Raw files!
